It is terrific to be writing again.
My husband and I love to sail. We taught our children to sail and we look forward to sailing with our grandchildren. Our son and his young family moved to a new home across from a beautiful lake that is great for sailing.
Our Sunfish sailboat has been sitting in our garage in Arizona neglected and out of water for the past fifteen years. Her name is Nui Nui.
Grandpa spent the winter restoring the Nui Nui. In the spring we will drive her across the country to meet the grandchildren. The Nui Nui will be given a new life with them. She will be overjoyed to get into the water, have her sail fill with wind, and have a new family to love, laugh, and sail with her!
When this plan came together I decided that our beloved sailboat could not leave us without her story. Hence, “If You Take a Sailboat to Water,” has been written and sent to Friesen Press for publishing.
I am excited to announce this to all of you!
Stay tuned for the release date in the new year 2017.
