From time to time, I believe we all go through a bit of that. The Give Me’s became problematic when one gets stuck there. When the the focus becomes, “You owe me,” that too is a concern.

As adults it seems we have a responsibility to teach our children balance. It is important to show them through our good example that real joy in life comes when we give of our time, talents, and energy to serve each other.
